Bollywood’s popular actor Razak Khan, who played as comedian in around 100 movies in the past 25 years, passed away due to heart attack, a family member said.
Razak’s brother Shehzad Khan has made the death news announcement through Facebook post where it got a wave of condolences on social networking sites.
The actor suffered a major heart attack in and around 12.30 am on Wednesday and was immediately taken to the Holy Family Hospital, Bandra, where he was declared as brought dead.
Razak Khan’s son, Azad, who is working in Croatia still have to reach here. He may reach later on Wednesday and the funeral would be performed at the Nariyalwadi Cemetery, Byculla on Thursday afternoon.
Razak Khan, who was thin, tall and lanky with a hippie style haircut, was a very popular comedian actor. He appeared in several Bollywood films. His first movie was “Roop Ki Rani, Choron Ka Raja” in 1993, and later he was seen in many popular movies like Govinda, Baadshah, Hello Brother etc.
More than his real name, Razak Khan’s screen character names became more famous. This shows how the actor involved in the character and made his best performances on screen. Some of his familiar characters include Fainku, Manikchand, Babu Bisleri, Popatwala, Lucky Chikna and Keshav. These all were the most memorable comic scenes besides some of the biggest actors.
He became more familiar with his roles in the movies such as “Kyaa Kool Hain Hum” series, don Kabira’s sidekick in “Badshah”, “Raja Hindustani”, “Hello Brother”, “Hera Pheri”, “Phir Hera Pheri”, “Bhagam Bhaag”, “Ankhiyon Se Goli Mare”, “Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya”, “Loha” and “Ishq”.
Many bollywood celebrities were in shock with the sudden demise of Khan and sharing their condolences through twitter.
