Rajinikanth’s Kabali to release on July 22 with ‘U’ clearance

Superstar Rajinikanth’s Kabali is all set to release worldwide on July 22. The movie had completed censor formalities and received a ‘U’ certificate.

Producer of Kalaipuli S Thanu took to Twitter and posted the update.  He had also revealed the run time of the movie.

Kabali will have a runtime of 152 minutes. Kabali will be released in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam on July 22 across the globe in over 3,500 screens.

Pa Ranjith had written and directed the movie. Rajinikanth plays the role of a don in the film and he had paired up with Radhika Apte. The movie also features Dhansika, Kalaiyarasan, Kishore and many others in key roles.

It is worth mentioning that the film had a few Malaysian artistes. The album of the movie received a huge response from the audience.

The album of Hindi will be launched on July 12. It is heard that the Tamil Nadu government had given tax exemption to the movie as it had bagged a ‘U’ certificate. Now, Kabali became eligible for the 30- percent tax exemption by the state government.

It may be recalled here that Rajinikanth’s previous movies such as ‘Kuselan’, ‘Enthiran’, ‘Kochadaiiyan’, and ‘Lingaa’ received ‘U’ certificate.

There are reports that first premiere of Kabali will be held at a popular Cinema hall in Malaysia at 9 pm on July 21.
