Bollywood’s one of the top directors Ashutosh Gowariker is back after six years with ‘Mohenjo Daro’ starring Hrithik and Pooja Hegde in the lead. He said that the movie is all about our ancient civilization and set in 2016 BC.
It’s natural for Bollywood audience to raise expectations sky high when handsome hero Hrithik Roshan’s is on
a new project or on his movie release. Mohenjo Daro is not an exception, which is releasing today bearing high expectations.
Ashutosh and Hrithik collaborated once again for this flick after their historical drama ‘Jodhaa Akbar’ in 2008.
Ashutosh said if we had a look on international cinema, numerous movies are made on Egypt, Greek and Roman civilizations, and then he thought to make a movie on our civilization (Indus valley civilization), something which connects and close to us.
‘Hrithik played as Akbar earlier and now as Sarman, who is a carefree person and it’s just merely a walk in the park for him to do’ said the director.
In a female lead role Ashutosh wanted a fresh face without the previous baggage of her role, so he confirmed 25-year-old actress Pooja Hegde.
On the other side, Hrithik Roshan said Mohenjo Daro is going to be one of the best films in his career. And Indian cinema ever produced the kind of action we presented. It’s the rare kind of movie should be made and should be seen.
Hrithik ended by saying that he and his team was so happy for being a part of it.
The movie is produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur and Sunitha Gowariker. Talented music director AR Rahman composed music and Javed Akhtar penned the lyrics.
