Chiyaan Vikram, the name reflects typical roles played by him in films than his stardom. His upcoming movie ‘Inkokkadu’ is scheduled to release on September 8th. Inkokkadu is the dubbed version of Tamil movie ‘Iru Mugan’.
Though the actor predominantly appears in Tamil films his acting skills knows no language barrier i.e. why his face is very much familiar in South cinema. Fifty years old actor bags seven Filmfare Awards along with one National Film Award.
In Telugu, after receiving a decent hit from Shanker’s ‘I’, vikram is now back with another interesting flick ‘Inkokkadu’. The movie belongs to science fiction genre which is written and directed by Anand Shanker.
The young director earlier assisted to well-known director AR Murugadoss in movies such as Vijay’s ‘Thuppaki’ and Suriya’s ‘Seventh Sense’. Inkokkadu is his second directorial venture after his debut movie ‘Arima Nambi’, which made a huge hit at the box office.
Coming to Inkokkadu, Vikram and Nayanathara romanced for the first time for this movie along with Nithya Menon in a crucial role.
Shibu Thameens is producing the movie while Harris Jayaraj composing tunes. This is going to be sixth collaboration for Harris and Vikram.
For the first time Vikram playing a dual role in this film, one as Akilan who is an agent of Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) and the other role as Love who is a transgender.
Director Anand Shankar told to IANS that they actually planned to use voice artist to dub Vikram’s role in Telugu but they found difficulty while searching for a suitable voice for the character Love. So, Vikram felt that he could only bring the uniqueness to the character and gave his own voice in Telugu too.
These days, it’s hard to find an actor who takes such additional efforts, the director said.
